A blog was published a month ago by Lena Pons, talking about the roadblock Republican, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska. It was discussed how Murkowski was pondering to stop government administrative activity on global warming. The change could hit the Senate Floor around January 20, and it pointed toward halting the EPA regulation of greenhouse gas emissions. The revision would require 60 votes in order to pass the senate.
Our goal is to stop this revision from receiving these 60 votes.
The EPA is a significant agency in charge of the regulation of greenhouse gas emissions. However, the EPA’s Administrator, Lisa Jackson, has put the office in a more activist situation in completing this significant mission. Strategies were made to block the EPA and undercut their available tools – The Clean Air Act. This is a hazardous precedent, and it gets us no closer to controlling climate change.
The intelligent thing to do would be to call your Senators today and instruct them to cast a ballot saying no to the alteration that would restrict the EPA from regulating greenhouse gas emissions.
